SEATTLE CHANNEL CHICKENS & BROWNS DISCUSSING MAYFIELD..

WELL... It used to be just the Panthers "working" the edges of the Baker Mayfield deal. Then came the TB Bucs jumping into the mix. 

NOW... Its the Channel Chickens being deemed the correct "landing spot" for Mayfield. There's a lot of 'smoke' here, just like there was about the Panthers. There is even some talk from certain "guessers" that describes 'when' it will happen and 'How Much' it will cost...

LOL :lol: Let 'em have him. Besides, I'm not convinced we have a coaching staff here who can polish a quarterback, any quarterback, so there's that.

I'm thinking....

The Browns just MIGHT hold Mayfield till the last moment before release. Sort of makes sense, in a weird way.  With the status of Deshaun Watson way, WAY up in the air, and nothing of any importance coming from the league yet about his suspension, the Browns may hold Mayfield as a temporary starter (or a backup..??). Until the suspension status is decided and challenged, and appealed, then ruled on by a judge..... Nothing is iron-clad.

And the latest rumor mill has Mayfield saying he's "...not against staying with the Browns...".  We know there is no long term relationship there, but who knows how long Watson will have to sit.  Plus... He is bound to be rusty. He's already missed a whole year, and this year will be another.....
