Thought I would put this out there in case anyone wanted to see it. His introductory presser will be Tuesday, and I "almost" expect him to bring some new hires with him.
Head coach Frank Reich will hold introductory press conference on Tuesday (panthers.com)
No new hires, but it was an impressive 1st presser.
On a side note… not worth another thread… that air in Denver must be mighty thin!!!
A first second n 3rd from Denver. Good luck.
Air smells like bs. Russ cooked? D good enough. Was Peyton (n Russ) worth the farm??? We will see.
Not sure, could b great. Also could set them back 5-10 years. Draft capital is valuable. Coach, or not. Depending on him reviving Russ. Good luck. U need a good d n running game. Wait what? ?

Pretty decent, overall. I was hoping for a little more though. I thought it was sort of vanilla. (IMHO..). Would have been nice to have a little more substance. Still..... I guess Reich didn't want to give much of anything away.

I'm guessing this must be about Sean Payton....???? I'm more than a little lost though. I'm just not following the parable..?? Help an old man out. What do you mean..??
Are you implying that the Denver folks are breathing rarefied air..?? They're suffering from altitude sickness.?? Lack of Oxygen to the ol' synapses..??

Yep, Denver agreed to terms with Saints/Payton for this year's 1st round pick, next year's 2nd rounder, and a future 3rd rounder.
Back to Reich, I though he seemed a little rattled, maybe even nervous to an extent. He said "all the right things", but it seemed like he missed the point when asked about the players not liking the new playing surface. I'm sure he'll get to re-visit that question.
Hobbs. The original report from the experts, including Espn and CBS indicated it was a one this year along with a 2 and 3 next year. However, it is officially a one this year, a two next year and the broncos get Payton and next years 3rd rounder from the Saints. So it makes a little more sense but in my opinion still to high of a price to play. I’m afraid the broncos felt it was their only choice since they did the Russell deal… but I’m afraid Russell in on the downhill slide and Payton will not be putting a helmet on.
So the light air reference was due to the thin air at mile high., and that they lost their minds. Turns out, only lost half their minds (imo)

OKAY...so I mostly got it right. High altitude rarified air, Oxygen deprived brain cells, lack of cogent thought process.......
Still though.... It doesn't seem TOO crazy, considering what all of the prognosticators were 'forecasting'. I've seen some predictions as high as 2-3 1st rounders plus additional compensation.!! Going with what you said, it seems a LOT more reasonable. Yes, a lot to give up, but Sean Payton is (was..??) a hell of a coach. Even if he was a former enemy OPFOR guy, I would have accepted him here with no qualms at all. I just hope Frank Reich does as well..........
