Ejiro Evero in officially as DC. 

Stole him from the Vikings, all reports had him going that direction. Appears to be a great hire.

YES....

While I was not particularly impressed at Evero as a potential HC hire, I am totally on-board with him as a DC.  Good coach, and should be effective as a DC. Should be a great hire......as long as he is willing to stick around and work relentlessly with Reich.  My main 'worry' with these hires is that they start a 'process then a year or two later they 'jump ship' for the next big thing.  I hope the Panthers structure contracts in such a way as to maybe keep a guy or at least encourage him to stick around.

Shame this hire took so long though.  Hope our new OC hire happens RSN (Real Soon Now..).

I really like this hire.  I believe he can get a bit more out of our defense!

3/4 a good thing? Brown, Gross-Matos n ?. Burns n Luvu would be great olb’s, (Hanes n barno too) but line n Ilb a need. Shaq n Chinn?

EXACTLY..!!

He’s considered “One of the top 3 Defensive minds in the nfl today” by many. Although I kind of hope he doesn’t try to switch us to a 3-4, as we don’t have the personnel for that type of defense. Remember when Ron tried it years ago-Yuck.

Personally I am not overly concerned if we which to a base 3-4. I think one key to it being successful is Derrick Browns, who has made strides the past two years. Can he move to a DE in a 3-4? Burns is Burns and pretty much has played as a 3-4 LB. I think the move would be beneficial to Barno and Brandon Smith. And let’s remember, whether you have a base 4-3 or a base 3-4 one has to be creative and adjust to situational scenarios… hope Evero will be that guy. I don’t know ANYTHING about him but from what I have read we did good. Results though will be the proof.
