Carolina looking to add some veteran help at receiver.
REPORT: Panthers 'Expected' to Meet with Free Agent WR Adam Thielen (msn.com)
With just four receivers currently on the roster, the Carolina Panthers must add a veteran or two to the room this offseason.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, they are slated to meet with 32-year-old free agent receiver Adam Thielen, who was recently released by the Minnesota Vikings, on Wednesday.
During his nine seasons in Minnesota, Thielen caught 534 passes for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns. The two-time Pro Bowler would help fill that much-needed veteran presence following the team's trade of DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears.
Despite not being the explosive or high-volume receiver he once was, Thielen does still have a little bit left in the gas tank and Carolina will need every bit of it.
