We've been waiting for something official from the Panthers. Well, here it is. The first official recognition of QB Andy Dalton. Dalton apparently showed up in Charlotte today. There will undoubtedly be a lot of information forthcoming shortly...
Now, the question still remains (and will remain until draft day probably..), who the Panthers will select at #1. Or, maybe even a possible trade down and who THAT would bring into play. The prognosticators are all over the place on these issues, but that is to be expected. They're all just searching for "clicks" and really have no better idea what is happening than we do.

According to Adam Schefter, Young is the "leader" in the clubhouse for the #1 pick. Not for me, you understand. I am not certain who these guys are listening to. I've heard nothing (other than this..) about Bryce Young. Who are these "talking heads" and just where do they get their supposed 'inside' information.?? I don't know. I can't see it.

The Panthers give up a #9 plus a #1 and two #2s for Richardson, who is NOT ready to play and had only one year as a starter in college....and that year was not great.!! Several of them were from yesterday and today (Friday and Saturday). Several from a few days back (no more than five days..). So, YES, they are NOT all current stories from today, as you pointed out.
However, they ARE all current with respect to the "story" I mentioned, which was WHO the Panthers were going to pick at #1. All of them were written in response to the Panthers "trading up" to the #1 spot and 'WHO" would be the "preferred" pick by the Panthers. There were several other stories as well that could have been added to this list.
"Misinformation" as you said, or "smokescreens" as BCF mentioned, it's all the same to my point. Within one week of the "trade-up", these stories have all appeared purporting to quote an "inside source" or a "reliable source" and telling us who the Panthers "wanted" or were "leaning toward". I find it terribly amusing that all of these sources want you to read and "believe" what they say, yet they all tell a different story. NONE of them KNOW anything.
It's all a "crock". Nothing but "clickbait" to draw you in to their advertisements.

That was my point. Silly season. Lots of things saying nothing. None “know”. Everybody is guessing. It’s fun, but by no means an answer.

After two QB Pro Days, I am not certain what I think.... That's a strange thing to say, I know. Young throws a nice ball. And he throws a nice DEEP ball. Stroud is more polished and smoother and hence more "ready" (IMHO). These two have almost identical stat lines out of college (The past two years.).
Make no mistake... Both guys will go very high in the draft. BUT... The #1 pick..??? It MAY NOT be decided yet.!!
It will be interesting to see the other two (coming up ---soon).
