Yes.... If you follow the "rules", you 'know' who the opponents are long in advance. Even if you don't follow the "rotation stuff", the opponents were published a long time ago.  Back in january (January 9..), the Panthers published the opponents for the 2023 season.  We have known "who" we would play this year and "where" (HOME-- Away..) since that date. See Here:  Panthers Release 2023 Opponents

THIS schedule release adds the "when". We now know the order we play and when...(date and time..), as well as the date of the "bye" week. This is important because it allows the team to plan ahead for certain teams in the bitter cold reaches of the polar North..... like Green Bay, Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, (Maybe.?? -- Others.??).  AND....

Perhaps just as importantly, the fans can put the games on a calendar, and can now buy tickets for certain opponents on certain days.... OR.. set aside certain "days and times" for TV football (especially important around the holidays..).

Of course, all of this is subject to the league's policy on "flex" scheduling. Certain "high-interest" games can be "flexed" into different slots depending on interest and of course how the particular teams are playing and whether the game has "implications" for future games or playoffs, etc., etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Look at the schedule as published. You will notice that in Week 15 and Week 18 the dates and times are shown as TBD. (To Be Determined). That is an indication that the league is "watching" those games for possible "flexing" (maybe..). Those weeks WILL be scheduled, but they could change too....

So, lots to think about here .... (Maybe..??)
