Y'all know this wasn't my choice, but in all fairness, I didn't know much about Bridgewater.  So, to give the guy his due, I went trying to find out more about him now that we have no choice (as if "we" ever did lol).

He seems like a nice, down to earth, humble guy, and hey, he won every game he started for Drew Brees last season.

I haven't really watched him much since he first came into the league. Those Saints highlights looked good. I like his quick decisions. I don't feel like I can count to 12 and see the ball still in his hand. I like his quick decisions. He throws that ball like a dart sometimes and it's right on point. Knows how to take the check down when it's there... oh, and did I mention, I like his quick decisions?

Seriously, that get's me a little bit pumped up to see some Panthers football this year.

He was a first-round draft pick and expected to go far until he almost lost his leg.   I like his quick release, too.  Looks like he has been watching Drew Brees.  That's what I always liked about Brees, a very quick release.

And did you notice how straight and level his throws are? Like bullets, point A to point B. Unlike Cam's which I have always complained about getting "too much air on the ball" resulting in overthrows or interceptions.

Per NFL.com, there is a new rule this year in the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) that Teams are not allowed to announce any signing of a player until the contract is finalized and signed by all parties.  I just read that day before yesterday, because I had the same question.

I'm a little excited to see Bridgewater on the field.!!  I think there is some potential here. As I mentioned before, he has quick eyes, and a very quick and smooth release. This is a welcome change from our recent QB situation. Time will tell of course.!!
