New Panthers head coach Dave Canales has put three key pieces in place, setting his coordinators on next year's coaching staff.

In addition to retaining defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, the Panthers have agreed to terms with Brad Idzik to be the offensive coordinator and Tracy Smith as special teams coordinator.

Idzik and Smith have a background with Canales from Tampa Bay and Seattle, while hanging onto Evero was one of the big draws for the new head coach.

That's a start. If "this" thing works out, we could have a winning coaching staff for years to come. If not, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Oh, and it has been RUMORED that Greg Olsen has interest in being the Panthers' Tight Ends Coach. Heard that on an interview the other day when he was directly asked and he was like, "who wouldn't be interested?"

He would really have to have the coaching itch to do it and want to work to climb the ladder.  Big cut in pay to start.  Even though it looks like he will get bumped by Brady, [stupid move by Fox IMO] .......his future in TV is bright. And would give him more time with his family.

He would be a great coach but I would be surprised to see that happening.
