According to Tom Pelissero.... The Panthers are getting WR Diontae Johnson from the Steelers. The Steelers will get Panthers CB Donte Jackson. There is also supposed to be a swap of picks involved.

When is the last time the Panthers were this active this early in Free Agency?

NEVER -- as far as I can remember...

We were pretty active last year, but this year feels like “WORK”

Initially I thought this was going to be an Offensive reset.... And it probably will be (to some extent..). But it now appears as if the FO is going to tear it all down and start over, or at least set up a major rebuild on both sides of the ball.

The latest information shows us losing Brian Burns, Frankie Luvu, YGM, Donte Jackson, Jeremy Chinn, and Vonn Bell on the Defensive side with potentially more to come.

The Offensive side is not as heavily vested in Free Agents, so the makeover will most likely be in the form of players being released. Other than the talk surrounding Bozeman and Hurst, there has been little movement up to this point. There will undoubtedly be cuts coming as the new year opens later today.
