All d.  Much needed.  7 new d guys, just step up n step in.  I'm suprised I'm so happy with it.  Really seems bpa/need heavy without reaches.  Well see how it goes, but I'm pumped.  2 Dts, de, 2s/nb/sub lb's, 2 CB? Very satisfied overall.  Thoughts?

Much needed. And Coach knows he's going against not only Brees but now Brady for 2 games each.

100% agreement.
I think our Offense has weapons. Defense will get them more time on the field. Win--Win...

I think we get an A on the draft. I THINK WE PICKED SOME PLAYERS THAT WILL BE VERY GOOD.

Our 2019 defense ( as we were reminded numerous times on TV ) was giving up 29 points a game.

We no longer have McKoy, Butler, Poe, Addison, Luke, Irvin, Bradberry , and Reid .. off that awful defense.

We've added 7 rookies. and I'm sure we will add some free agents. Can we really expect to be better on defense in 2020 ?? no. Maybe 2021 or 2022 .. but rookies aren't going to be magic ..

5-11 record and we won't get us in the Clemson quarterback ( Trevor Lawrence ) grab. We'd need to lose more, like 14 games.

Our Defense might be worse than last year ( points given up per game )

I think we get an "A" as well.... I am pleased at the draft, and cautiously optimistic.

I also think we may surprise some folks this year. We have a bunch of rookies, but both Rhule and Hurney have said that our current roster is NOT in it's final form. Both intend to add some additional talent in the form of veteran presence. We'll see, but I expect we will see some more FA pick-ups.....

This may very well be our best draft ever, based on circumstances.

It is a completely rebuild of a team, drafting what may have been best defensive player available at that time is a good strategy for a rebuild. If they manage the cap correctly over the next couple years this team could become competitive in three possibly two years.

It will be a couple of years before we see how well this draft really was for us. But every year that I've ever watched us draft, we've had multiple picks that I looked at and said "wth.. I don't like this pick" or "I just don't see this guy doing anything for us". Those initial first thoughts usually turn out to be correct.

For the first time in a long time, I think we might actually be surprised by the product on the field. Hopefully we are not all wearing paper bags over our head by the end of the season.
