The Panthers parted ways with veteran running back Miles Sanders on Tuesday in advance of the start of the new league year.
In two seasons here, Sanders had 184 carries for 637 yards and three touchdowns, along with 51 catches for 302 yards and a touchdown.
Anyone know the cap savings? Assuming we will get a RB in the draft.
The Panthers were interested in keeping the 27-year-old Sanders at a reduced salary, which is what nose tackle Shy Tuttle agreed to in order to stay with the team. But Sanders chose to become a free agent after two disappointing years in Charlotte, where his two biggest supporters — Frank Reich and running backs coach Duce Staley — were fired 11 games into their first season.
