Hmm...
XL is F A S T, especially for a big guy. As far as an 'X' or 'Z' receiver goes he is our fastest and most likely to break clear downfield, over the top. TMac has better hands and so (apparently) does Coker. XL needs to settle down and get serious or he will find himself out of a job. --- As far as ST goes, ??? He could certainly do the job IF he could be taught how to tackle. I don't think he would back away from 'contact'.!!!
CSW -- Wow, dude is little. Not really Safety material (in the typical logical sense..). His most logical position is at Nickel CB. Although, If he was single-high OR had support underneath, he could play FS probably. Not sure about his speed, he'd need to be fast. It would be a definite mismatch if he had to go up against big, strong WRs or TEs over the top or jump-ball situations. - IMO
Brooks -- *sigh*
I sure hope he can come back, although I THINK he's effectively done in this league. Everyone talks so 'positive' about him and how he's going to be a real force. I guess you have to believe in something. After all, what else can the Panther execs say except 'positive' sh*t. - SMH. I don't know. Yes, TD came back from ACL injuries and performed at a high level. So, it CAN be done. But, Brooks is a RB. he makes his coin on his legs. He has to run, stop, man-up and block, cut hard, jump-cut, etc., etc. And with two ACLs on the same knee, in back to back years..!! -- well, I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid. So, if we rely on Chuba and we lose Rico to FA -- well..... We'll be shopping for another RB for sure. Probably draft one mid-round somewhere, unless Dan knows something we don't - which is undoubtedly true.! I trust Dan. Maybe we pick up a vet somewhere with a few miles left on his wheels..??? --- OR maybe Rico decides to stay..?? (Probably not though...).
Interesting questions. Room for thought prior to the draft...
