Anyone have any thoughts on Person's list?
There is a lot of truth here..... But still a lot of questions. Attempts at 'roster building' by outsiders usually turn out to be WAGs for the most part (Wild Ass Guesses). This is true because NO ONE has any idea what is going through the minds of the GM & HC. Still, it makes for an interesting excercise, and I admit that Person has a decent handle on the roster as it now stands.
There are several areas that strike me as .... hmmm, I don't know ... Questionable..??? First, the WR room is still wide open (IMO). I can't see Canales letting David Moore get cut. Canales is a BIG homer guy. He thinks the sun (and moon) rises and sets in Moore's ass. And Metchie is still in the mix (IMO). So...Who knows..??? Second, is the ILB guys. It's no secret that Moehrig has moved up to the ILB position and plays it well (???). Along with his propensity to hit like a sledge hammer, there is no reason to believe that he can't play there in real time -- much like Thomas Davis..??? If that should happen, who plays in the other Safety slot alongside Nathan Ransom.?? Will the current ILB conversation see Cherelus and Trevin Wallace become rotational pieces..??? Third, we also know that JayCee Horn has been playing A LOT inside. That means that he transitions to the Nickel CB to cover slot receivers. If so, who plays the outside alongside Mike Jackson..???
I don't know.... If some/any of this ^^ happens, then the resultant is enough to change other positions (AND the roster..). Like I said somewhere else here....
I am sure glad that someone is getting paid to make these decisions.!!
