PANTHERS CUT CB TROY PRIDE, JR

Yeah..... This seemed a bit of a surprise after the signings.  ------------  
UNTIL..... I read the explanatory statement of "failing ... physical..." 

OK.... THAT makes sense (I guess).

I know and understand injuries are going to happen, especially in football.  But if you cut a guy you drafted last year and one whom you moved up to draft, somebody isn't doing their job.

Well, yeah, but....... Pride was considered a 'developmental' player when he was drafted. Then with injuries in two consecutive seasons, it really shut down his "development". I'm not going to blame any mgmt for the Pride thing. Those things happen. He may still become a good CB in the league.

So, you're saying another way to look at it is that he WAS a "shutdown corner" of sorts? lol
