CBs: RASHAWN MELVIN RETIRES; SPOT FILLED - ANOTHER ADDED

Its been mentioned a couple of times.... The latest was yesterday when Scott Fitterer mentioned that Melvin did not report with the rest of the team. He said that Melvin was dealing with some "personal matters" and was taking some 'personal time' to make decisions. Prior to that, it had been mentioned that Melvin was having some difficulties in his personal life and was contemplating leaving football. He apparently has made his decision. The latest statement from the Panthers indicates that the roster is down one and Melvin has decided to retire. Since he joined the league, Rashawn Melvin has played on eight teams over a ten year span.
Will the Panthers replace him, or use his spot to bring in someone for a different position..??
