After placing Return man Andre Roberts and DT Bravvion Roy on IR, the Panthers had two open spaces on the 53 roster. They decided to move LB Arron Mosby from the Practice Squad to the 53 to fill one of the spots. Mosby was a UDFA from Fresno State. The Panthers have positioned Mosby the past two weeks on the active game-day roster as what is called a "standard elevation". This allows a team to utilize a Practice Squad player on the active squad without signing him to a 53 contract. This also allows the player to revert to the Practice Squad after the game without going through the waiver processs. A player can be "elevated" three times in a season but only reverted back twice. That means if a player is elevated a third time they would then have to sign a 53 contract or go through the waiver process before being signed back to the Practice Squad.

In addition, the Panthers have signed DT Frank Herron back to the Practice Squad.

The Panthers current roster stands at 52. So, room for one more.......
It’s at 53, they signed a RB from the bills practice squad, who had over 100yards rushing and 2 td in the preseason.  Can’t remember his name
