So, now it's week 5 and we are set to bow before the NFL's leading Defense.  Our Defense is GOOD. The 49ers Defense is BETTER. Last week we performed decent on Defense and for the second week in a row we had a Defensive TD. The Cardinals were not good, but they were good enough to beat us.

This week we are going to be truly HUMBLED, if we don't start doing something right.  The 49ers are NO JOKE. The best team we've faced so far this year---by a large margin. Our O-line is getting better, but Ekwonu still needs work. By the time we get to the Bye week, I expect him to be much improved. This week we will get to see just what we could have had --IF-- we had decided to go after Jimmy Garoppolo instead of Mayfield.

In any event, I hope we get our guys healthy for the game. Chinn is out for at least four weeks + and will take a couple of weeks at least to get back in playing shape.  So, somewhere around the Bye week....maybe. Fingers crossed for the rest of the guys..!!

With the status of the 49ers Defense, I give our Offense exactly ZERO chance, knowing what we know about our shameful QB.  The oddsmakers have the money line in favor of the 49ers of course. Panthers are +4.5 right now. I don't believe that.... It ought to be at least DOUBLE that.  Over/Under is currently sitting at 39----- Which could be right. If so, it's a sure bet that most of that number will be points scored by the 49ers.

I would not be at all surprised to be shut-out in this game. It could happen. I don't think it will, but I wouldn't be surprised.  I really expect Pineiro to kick a couple of FGs. We might score 6-9 pts on FGs.....no TDs.
