The New York Giants have released quarterback Daniel Jones, the team announced Friday.

“Daniel came to see me this morning and asked if we would release him,” Giants president John Mara said in a statement. “We mutually agreed that would be best for him and for the team.

He seems like a good guy.  Hope he finds the right spot with his next move.

AGREED -- He's not the only one though.  Lots of moves being made right now.... or contemplated.

Did you hear that the Giants not only bench Daniel Jones, but they moved him to SAFETY on the Practice Team?  True story dude.  Can't make this stuff up.

And yeah, there is a LOT of suck to go around this year.

Aaaaaand he’s been released today.

I guess he didn't play well at safety.  I just knew that would be a good fit for him.  

LOL... Well, yeah, I guess.  Cruel, cruel, cruel...

There are a lot of QBs who are being "forced" to play in the NFL WAY too soon. They really need a little 'seasoning' before being thrown to the wolves.  I know everyone 'wants' their draft picks to jump in there and make a big splash. But the truth is, almost all of them are just not ready to perform at NFL level.  If we could just lower our expectations a little bit.....???
