After watching some of J Brooks highlights from Texas,, it looks like if he ever hits the clean hole, no one will catch him.
I’ve see Chubba hit that type of hole and gain 20 , 30, 40 yards…. AND THAT’S GREAT, but maybe Brooks can break one .
Ok , he might not get but 5- 7 carries.
Interesting, what you observed. Hubbard was described as smooth runner with above average speed. Hubbard and Brooks are just about carbon copies of each other (physical - size wise..).
Hubbard = 6'0'' -- 210-215 depending on when you measured/weighed him.
Brooks = 6'0" -- 210-215 draft profile numbers.
So they're almost identical...
Brooks MIGHT have a TINY advantage on speed (maybe.??)
Hubbard = 4.51 -- 40 yd time
Brooks = 4.45 -- 40 yd time (unofficial --- obviously he was injured at combine and draft time..)
So, about 6 hundredths of a second difference (.06) --- about two shoelaces difference, if you can believe the "guesstimate" on Brooks.
Of course, the 'unknowns' are critical. Brooks MAY be a more mobile runner. Maybe a more 'twitchy' style. Hubbard's style is more 'straight-line' with breakaway speed. It would be really interesting to see them face off against each other for about 6o yards or so after running through a couple of obstacle cuts. Brooks might have the advantage if he's quicker in and out of his cuts...
