One of the best markers we have as fans are the Draft prep "Visits" that the Panthers schedule with prospects. Here is a current list of the visits that are scheduled (OR are already completed..). There will be more added to the list as we move forward, but as for now, this is it.
There are some interesting names on these lists. Some of these guys we have talked about some around the forum. Some are 'new' names (at least to me..).
TOP 30 / LOCALS
South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori
Virginia S Jonas Sanker
Georgia DL Warren Brandon
Kentucky DL Deone Walker
Florida LB Shemar James
Florida DL Cam Jackson (TWICE)
PRO DAY MEETINGS
Syracuse OLB Fadil Diggs

Iowa State CB Darien Porter
Georgia S Malaki Starks

Miami WR Sam Brown Jr.
The Combine is long gone, so that particular list is "complete". "Pro Days" are still going on, so there will undoubtedly be more meetings added to those listed here. The "Locals & Top 30" will fill out ((to 30..) -- most likely). Although, if I remember correctly, the Panthers did NOT use all 30 last year .... Hmm, maybe it was the year before..??
The highlighted names are ones mentioned around here and other places..

Good info Hobs....I like seeing Walker on there several times. And I know we both like Skattebo. Also the safety Emmanwori. Some very long days for Morgan & Company leading up to the draft. They are in charge of so little and have to prepare for everything...including adjusting on the fly. Wonder how much sleep they are getting?

Exactly. You said it, girl. With a month left to go before Draft Night, Dan and "company" are undoubtedly burning the midnight oil. It's hard for us to understand just how much work goes into this time of year. Those guys are going to be wiped out before the Draft actually gets here. -- Sleep..?? What's that.??
"A Reasoned Response From A Reasonable Mind"
With the 2025 NFL Draft coming up quickly, I will update this list as often as I can get new 'results'. The 2025 Draft is on the 24th -- 26th of April (THIS MONTH..!!). That means that we are inside of three weeks now. About twenty days left until the Draft takes place.
Historically, the Panthers have done "visits" with the players who they end up drafting..... Not ALWAYS, mind you, but for example, last year the Panthers "visited" with their first four draft selections. So, a 'visit' (or multiple visits) with a player is indicative of REAL interest in that player. But .... there is a downside to trying to quantify this "list". The Panthers (and all the rest of the NFL teams..) do not want these "visits" to be common knowledge. It gives away too much information that other teams can use against us during negotiations. In other words, it's best if the rest of the league doesn't know what we are thinking....
So, this list is sort of a secret. The Panthers just don't publish names of players they are interested in. Of course, the players names are listed here and there on the web. Sometimes reporters see players coming in to the complex. Sometimes the players themselves post their visits on social media. So the names end up "out there" --- at least most of them do. But not all....
That is just another way of saying that this list will never be complete. There are visits going on as we speak..... we just don't know all of their names.

OK... Here is an updated list of visits that have been 'noticed', 'reported on', or 'posted' by players or teams. This list is NOT complete, nor is it guaranteed to be accurate. There is a lot of supposition here and frankly some guessing as well by some of the reporters involved.
Here is the original list I posted last week, with the new additions listed in a group at the bottom.

"A Reasoned Response From A Reasonable Mind"
I ran into this discussion yesterday... One of the interesting things here is a reference to a Reddit about Panthers Visits. I don't (normally) put a lot of faith in Reddit or any other non-official postings (like maybe Quora or ..??). Anyway, I be-bopped on over there and took a look at the aforementioned chart. Surprisingly, it was quite in-depth and looked well-thought out and reasoned. I suspect that is the reason that CSR quoted it. In any event, here is the link to the Reddit if you are so inclined:
REDDIT: Panthers Draft Visits
So, here is the actual discussion as posted by CSR (Cat Scratch Reader). --- Tres Interresant.!!
CSR: Panthers: Analyzing Trends Indications By Visits
Quote:"Analyzing early trends in the Panthers pre-draft visits
The Carolina Panthers have historically tipped their picks in the NFL Draft. A lot of their selections tend to be players that zeroed in on for visits during the pre-draft process, and they tend to be pretty bad at hiding their interest in their top targets in the early rounds of the draft.
With that, we can take an early-ish look at who the Panthers have been visiting with to see what position groups they’re targeting most heavily and which top prospect they might be zeroing in on.
I’m referencing this tracker on Reddit that seems to be as up-to-date as one can be at this point.
First, of the players the Panthers have met with between the Senior Bowl, Shrine Bowl, and various other pre-draft meetings, here is the count by position:
QB: 1
RB: 7
WR: 4
TE: 4
OL: 1
OT: 2
EDGE: 7
DE: 1
DT: 9
LB: 6
CB: 7
S: 4
K: 1
The Panthers are clearly adamant about improving their defense. Interior linemen make up the largest piece of the pie in the Panthers visits so far. There are a couple of prominent names on the list, like Mason Graham, who the Panthers visited with at the combine. Otherwise, it’s a lot of guys that would be late round or undrafted free agent targets.
The rest of the defense has gotten a lot of attention as well. The Panthers have met with two projected first round safeties (Nick Emmanwori and Malaki Starks) and a couple of mid rounders (Billy Bowman Jr. and Jonas Sanker). Safety depth is one of the most glaring holes still on the roster, so it’d be a surprise to see the Panthers not aggressively look to fill the position in the draft.
Perhaps the most interesting tidbit from the positional trends is what the Panthers are looking at offensively. They’ve met with more running backs than any other position on the offense and have paid little attention to offensive linemen. It looks like they’ll potentially add more running back depth on Day 3 of the draft even with Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle in the fold and Jonathon Brooks potentially coming back sometime in the future.
The Panthers have met with a couple of individual prospects on multiple occasions:
Cam Jackson, DT, Florida
Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
Jackson is interesting because he’s a Day 3 prospect that projects purely as a two down run stuffing nose tackle. He’s someone to keep an eye on as a player the Panthers could pick ahead of his projected slot.
The other player is Jalon Walker, CSR’s favorite hybrid/tweener player with freakish traits and okay college production. He’s been one of the more commonly mocked players to the Panthers, and that’s being corroborated by the team’s apparent interest in him.
Notably missing from the list entirely is Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams. Williams has gained a lot of traction as a player the Panthers have “real interest” in according to Joe Person, but I can’t find any reports suggesting the Panthers have actually met with the two-time All-SEC defensive end."

This is Dan's 2nd year so I think applying Panther historical trends does not equate with Dan's emerging trends. I say emerging because he is still growing and developing as a new GM. No doubt there might be some things he did last year he might now do differently.
That being said...last year he said he would focus on offense....he did that. This year he said he needs to focus in defense. Depending on how he feels about free agency and the talent in the draft...pick #8 could be wide open. Could we see the team draft someone they have not met with? Well...there are lots of ways to do research on a player and teams sometimes like to keep their thoughts close to the vest.
If the Panthers do not go D at 8...I think the pick will be the TE from Penn St, I would not be upset with that.
I applaud that take. Best impact if Warren there. ,hunter gone . I hope we identify a real edge.. walker a Luvu clone.. love it, but a true edge helps the most. If walker is an ilb first..:that helps

I too want Walker. I will be very happy if he falls to us.
