I have read several good reviews about Bryce lately.  This one seems to sum them all up:

In the high-stakes world of the NFL, the journey from perceived failure to redemption is fraught with challenges that test the very mettle of an athlete. Bryce Young’s story is a testament to this arduous path, showcasing not just a return to form but a demonstration of resilience and leadership that has reignited hope within the Carolina Panthers’ camp. From the depths of criticism and doubt, Young has emerged as a beacon of potential and promise, captivating fans and analysts alike with his recent performances.

A Season of Trials

Bryce Young’s early career was anything but smooth. Tagged as one of the potential worst busts after a rocky start, he found himself under the intense scrutiny of fans, the relentless questioning from the media, and the humbling experience of being benched. It’s a scenario that could unravel many, but Young’s story took a different turn. His ability to withstand this pressure, to endure and bounce back, speaks volumes about his character and resilience. It’s a narrative of personal growth that extends beyond the football field, resonating with anyone who faces adversity in their pursuits.

Clutch Leadership and Jaw-Dropping Throws

What sets Young apart, as noted by NFL analysts, is not just his physical capabilities, which include making throws that leave spectators in awe, but his mental fortitude. His leadership in clutch moments, during game-winning drives and comebacks, has been particularly lauded. It’s one thing to perform when conditions are favorable, but quite another to excel when the stakes are high and the pressure is immense. Young’s ability to do so, to lead by example and inspire confidence in his team, is what distinguishes him as a quarterback with a promising future in the NFL.

His statistical achievements further underscore his potential. With a Big Time throw rate on deep targets that rivals, and in some cases surpasses, some of the league’s top quarterbacks, Young has demonstrated that he possesses not only the skill but also the vision required at the highest level of the game. His second-place ranking in adjusted completion percentage on deep targets is a testament to his accuracy and ability to make the most of every opportunity.

A New Hope for the Panthers

The significance of Young’s resurgence cannot be overstated for the Carolina Panthers. In a league where the quarterback often serves as the lynchpin of the team’s success, having a player of Young’s caliber finding his stride is a source of optimism. The discussions around his performances and potential have shifted from skepticism to a genuine belief that with Young at the helm, the Panthers have a fighting chance in the fiercely competitive NFL landscape.

The road ahead for Young and the Panthers is still uncertain. The NFL is a league where fortunes can change from one season to the next, and every game is a battle. However, the early signs of Young’s leadership, skill, and resilience are promising indicators of what could be a bright future for both the quarterback and his team. As the Panthers look to build on this momentum, the story of Bryce Young serves as a reminder of the power of perseverance, the importance of mental toughness, and the transformative impact a single player can have on a team’s fortunes.

Not wishing my summer away but I an excited to see this team come September.

Thanks LP...

I'm happy that the season is approaching as well.  I have to admit though that BY is still unproven. He DID improve late last year, but still a long way to go -- IMO.  This is year three. He should be WELL established at this point. Maybe he will continue to improve (let's hope..!!).

I know folks don't like to hear this, BUT... my major concerns is still his size. I admit, I favor a much larger stronger QB with a BIG arm. Bryce just doesn't fit "the mold" of a NFL QB destined for greatness.

I'm constantly reminded of Tua Tagovailoa. He is bigger (stronger) than BY but he too was a S L O W developing QB. He didn't become really effective until year three. So, like Tua, Bryce might show some additional promise this year.  The problem is... Tua has now sort of "hit a wall" mostly because of his size. He has taken a lot of hits from NFL size D-players and now is holding forth with MAJOR head injury (concussion) issues. I expect that Tua will shortly be forced to leave football due to health issues.

AND Bryce is quite a bit smaller than Tua.  I think we've hitched our wagon to the wrong horse. There are so very, VERY few undersize QBs in the league that it's almost not worth the effort to contemplate..... (I mean QBs that are less than 6'0" and less than 200 lbs..)  Bryce is 5'10" and plays at about 185.... --- Scary.

Oh well ... I really hope that he doesn't get hurt. But, I sort of expect it to happen on every play.
