Some more English language descriptives...

Someone who was mad and proud of it...
"He was bowed up like a Banty rooster"

Someone ready to act first and ask questions later...
"Brave as the first man to eat an oyster"

Someone bold and extravagant
"Flashy as a rat with a gold tooth."

Here's a couple for 'Not too smart'...
"He was an elevator operator at the hotel but lost his job. -- He couldn't learn the route."
'"Dumber than a box of hammers"

When you're having a bad day and nothing us going right.
"Sometimes you're the hammer, and sometimes you're the nail."

Found some more descriptives for your enjoyment...

He seemed to be in a panic, like a rooster in an empty hen house.

As proud as a pup with his first flea.

As ambitious as a flea crawling up an elephants leg, intent on rape.

She looked like she'd been rode hard and put away wet.

He was as scratched up as a blind berry picker.

Sharper than a mother-in-law's tongue.
