I haven't heard as much as a squeak about it on Panthers.com.  I looked at Transactions and it does show us signing him, but not a word otherwise, and he was signed on Tuesday.

The Carolina Panthers have signed (now former) Rams QB Josh Love to their practice squad.  Love was thought to have been one of the top quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he somehow went undrafted.

The Carolina Panthers have signed quarterback Josh Love to the practice squad, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Love played his college ball at San Jose State from 2016-19. In 41 games, Love tossed for 7,206 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions while completing 57.8% of his passes. He went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft but latched on with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent.

The Panthers needed to add to the quarterback room with starter Sam Darnold currently in the concussion protocol. P.J. Walker will be the expected starter if Darnold can't go. James Morgan, a former fourth-round pick of the New York Jets, is the only other quarterback on the team's roster and is currently on the practice squad. Morgan was claimed off waivers earlier in the year after the team moved on from Will Grier.

Nice tape. Great catches.

Seriously though.

Deleted some of my comments (oops). We aren’t great at catches. He needed them from the tape (the great catches). If we get to him we are in trouble. Hope our pass catchers step up though.

You, sir, are 100% correct!

And Robbie Anderson has missed a bunch that has left me dumbfounded.  I like Robbie, but dang, sign a contract and suddenly it's like cutting Sampson's hair or giving Superman a healthy dose of Kryptonite.

Behind every good pitch is a good catch..!!

Nice tape. Showcased the receivers as much as Love. He made some nice throws though. A few were not quite as good, but the catching was superb.!!

Like the son on O' Brother Where Art Thou? told his pappy the "Gov'nuh", "Maybe we should get us some constituents?" lol

Maybe we should get us some wide receivers who can catch.   .... Fore we get our britches pulled down.... and our backsides paddled ... or kicked, whichever lol Big Grin
