...... AND Assistant Special Teams Coach Ed Foley

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20...-ed-foley/

The question now is (why??) and (why???).

What the hell are we supposed to do for another twelve games?

I have all ideas that these firings were due to the Panthers firing Matt Rhule, with whom Phil Snow and Ed Foley had long-time ties.

I’m guessing they have loyalty to Rhule, and his “buy in” nature. That and Steve Wilkes’s DC in Arizona was Al Holcomb.

No surprises here, Rhule cronies, and nothing to be upset about other than Mcadoo remaining. Tepper dumped 3 bad stocks but held on on other losers.

According to Ian Rappaport, Steve Wilks fired Snow.

Seriously?

Wow.... Personally I'm surprised Snow was fired.  Our D has done great, but there is no telling what the relationship between Snow and Wilkes has been.  To have been a fly on the wall..

I THINK what we will find out eventually, is that the minute Rhule left, Wilks decided to "circle the wagons." Steve Wilks is NOT a dummy. AND he has no intrinsic loyalty to Rhule's hires (which I think is a VERY GOOD thing..). All of that 'cronyism' or 'nepotism' means nothing to Wilks. This ^^^ adds some fuel to the fire. If you want to work for Steve Wilks, you better be ready to 'perform'. And I am happy to see it.!!

We should watch the Rhule 'player contracts' as well. Plenty of 'nepotism' to go around there as well. Some of those players might be shown the door. I hope Wilks works well with Scott Fitterer. Those two, together, could make some changes.....
