I LIKE this guy..... I REALLY like this guy.  It's not necessary to be all "kissy-face" with the players, or the other coaches, or the media.  All it takes is a guy with a serious demeanor who DEMANDS effort and COMMANDS respect.

He has a BIG job ahead. Bringing this team back to relevancy may not even be possible this year.  But you can bet your ass, Steve Wilks is NOT going to quit.

(This is a joke)

I hate that he may possibly pull us out of the number 1 draft pick

Well..... Even if he doesn't "pull us out of...", there is no guarantee that the Panthers end up with the #1 pick.  Currently... there are six (6) teams with one win including the Panthers. Five of those teams are 1-4 (like the Panthers..), and the Texans are 1-3-1, which puts them a minuscule step ahead of the other five.

So, you know, right now there are six teams battling for the #1 worst team in the league.  BUT, OTOH, ..... If you were to rely on the "Power Rankings" league wide, then the Panthers are the winner.  The #1 team in the league.....on the "worst" list.

Good coach.  Raw deal with the Cards.  Hope he does well.  Only challenges, fix the o (3rd down calls/execution) better 1st n 2nd would help, keep the d fresh for the fourth.  “Less snaps on dl.”  Do that n it makes a difference.  Seems simple.  Can it help?  Hope so.  Hope we see.  Need the starters good late.

Overall game plan going in, not just throwing spaghetti at the wall.

All would b helpful. 1-2 almost could b enough for a win.

You have to admit, too, it was a gutsy move of him to be promoted above Phil Snow and in turn fire Phil Snow, who was previously Wilks' boss.

That's what I call planting your flag in the ground.

Gutsy move...??   Well, yes.  It was a gutsy move.........by Tepper.!!  It sort of puts Wilks on the spot though.  Man Up--- Grow a Pair--- Let's See What Ya Got---..  ESPECIALLY considering the class-action lawsuit against the NFL, and the fact that Steve Wilks joined that action as a plaintive. Do you see what I mean.??  What choice did Wilks have.??

Wilks getting rid of Snow (and Foley..) was a foregone conclusion.  Had to happen or the spectre of Rhule would hang around the locker room and cause a lot of grief going forward.  So, "planting your flag...", yes, definitely.  But really, what other option was there available.??

It's a chance for Wilks, but it's a setup too.  Setting him up to fail..... against the toughest competition schedule I've seen in a while.  And without a solid QB to lead the team.  It's going to be "a difficult row..."

I'm pulling for him.  I think he was absolutely the best choice under the circumstances.  Wilks is smart, and tough, he won't take any crap, and he won't quit.  What more could you ask for..??

Tepper didn't fire Snow or Foley. That was all Wilks. Tepper said it. Wilks admitted it. Wilks said it was his decision because he had a different idea of what he wanted going forward.

I’ll give the man credit for accepting responsibility. With that comes accountability…both ways.
