A quick read led me to some interesting stats for the Panthers for the first 5 weeks of the season.  Some of this is hard to believe, but I assure you, I did NOT make this stuff up.  As bad as we've been so far, there have been some bright spots.....

McCaffrey has four 100 yd games this year. There are three others who also have four 100 yd games. But McCaffrey has four consecutive 100 yd games. He and Nick Chubb are the only ones to do that.

Blackshear's 200 yd return game last week added to the Panthers total who now have 426 Kickoff Return Yards so far this year. The Panthers Total Kickoff Return Yards currently leads the  NFL.

Blackshear's 200 return yards last week leads the NFL for a single game total.

The Panthers O-Line has had all five starters play every snap through all five games. Leads the league. No other team has done that.

Tackle Ikem Ekwonu led the Panthers Offense last week in PFF Grade with a 92.1. That grade is the highest grade for any Tackle on any team this year.  Leads the league.

SURPRISED..???   I know I was.

We are not that bad, just lacking something. Maybe we get it right…

Could be as little as a bit more effort on the part of the O-Line, and better quarterback play.  I'm hoping we see all of that this Sunday with PJ Walker playing.

The part that really surprised me was how well Ekwonu played. I could see him improving every week, but apparently last week he made a significant jump.  REALLY happy to see that level of play from him. Hope it wasn't a "one and done" type of thing...

I tend to agree with this sentiment, Ickey did damn good against arguably the best D Line in the NFL.  Cheers to him.  Keep it up Rook.

Nice job by Icky. Line doing well. Qb has to perform. I hope PJ does what he normally does…perform.

Could he… nope. Future stater (this year)? PJ. Why not try it n Eason bf next year. Seems logical. Qbs 1-3 don’t work, try the rest. Walker is 3 right now. Begrudgingly.

Josh, I would love to see what Eason can do as well. The problem he would face is that he hasn't had the opportunity to practice with the regular team at all under center. I think he very well could be a successful quarterback in the NFL, but he needs some playing time.

Yup 007. Three comps 1 miss int.

Don’t disagree. Completed 4/5. Heh!

Not much practice, but Eason did well. Qb conundrum’s aplenty. He’s, really, the only healthy one!
