I think we will know this answer soon.

I’m a little torn on this one. I like Wilks and the way he tries to command the situation that he is in. Players seem to like him but they like winning more than anything and Wilks is not proven in that area. However, until you have been given that chance you can’t achieve it. His time in Arizona concerns me most. It was his only NFL to be part of an off-season, a draft, a preseason… and the results were just not a pretty site.

I personally think his opportunity is 50/50.

However, I think if you keep Wilks because of the last twelve games, you keep Holcomb and you keep McAdoo…they were just as deserving in helping to accomplish that record as Wilks was… and he choose to keep them as he was supposedly given free reins. So if you feel there was some positive chemistry there you can rock that boat, you buy in and roll on. I’m not a McAdoo fan but it is what it is and we could do worse. In fact, I think a couple of those 6 wins could be pinned directly on McAdoo and their game plan. Hard to over look that.

Curious to see how this unfolds. But my guess is, if Tepper feels we can be competitive Wilks stays and if not we go after another (I like Ryans) but we completely start a new rebuilding program.

I just heard on WBTV News that a coach from Detroit (Jim Caldwell) interviewed today, and Wilks will interview tomorrow.

Here is a side thought.

If Tepper doesn’t make Wilks the guy… I believe he has to bring in a top of the line head coach in order to retain Wilks. You can’t and won’t keep him if you bring in someone’s coordinator.

I doubt Wilkes would come back as dc…. HC or bust.

I’d love to have him, but he’s hc worthy imho.

If it did work out I’d love it, but I doubt his plan on o in the interview brought him as dc…

Maybe his preference on oc, but I doubt it.

They interviewed Frank Reich yesterday. Personally, I don't know anyone on their interview list who I feel is BETTER than Steve Wilks. I hope they hire him as permanent head coach.

I prefer Wilks. That was a great, late run. Boys believe. Most of the battle. I’d b interested in his coordinator choices n coaching staff. I hope he’s chosen, n gets a better chance than with the Cards, which was a sham. 1 year’s a bs chance. Really.

4 years later Cards cut the coach who succeed him after signing a contract through 2027 10 months ago. Great franchise.

For reference

Jim Caldwell was contacted by the Redsk... uh... The "Commanders" about their vacant OC position, and he told them he wasn't interested. He is only interested in HC Positions. But I don't see any body of work he has done to make him more qualified than Coach WIlks.

If we go defensive experienced coach, while not my first choice. I wouldn’t have a problem with Wilks…most “experts” seemed to think offensive side and should that be the case I like Ken Dorsey.

We’ve requested to interview Peyton. I don’t wanna give them a first rounder for him.
