The thing that excites me about the prospect of having CeeDee Lamb here, is that with him at WR and CMC at Running Back.... sheesh..... now would be something to behold.

Herbert is one of my favorites. He brings a skill set to his game and an attitude of thankfulness that is seldom seen. I LIKE this guy. Currently my favorite QB in the draft.

Herbert was the best QB in last years draft before deciding to stay in school.

Most of the experts has both him and Eason late first round picks, I personally like Eason slightly better than Herbert this year. Again slightly. I am hoping that we roll the analytic dice and trade down a half dozen spots, pick up an additional second pick as we need so badly in this complete overhaul we are face with and then take either of those two guys. But what do I know.

It's not so much "Do we get him.?" as it is "WHO do we get.??" At #7 we will get a playmaker.
I don't think Herbert lasts until 'late ' in the first. Herbert is MUCH better than Tua, especially with Tua's injuries. Although it's been proven recently that I know NOTHING about what is actually going to happen. ***sigh***

I agree, Hobbit. Whomever we pick and whichever position MUST be an immediate playmaker. We cannot afford to draft someone to "ride the pine" for two or three years.

Please note that I said a half dozen spots....that would put us 12-14 range and I do think that either Herbert or Eason will be available. However, all this is a totally mute point if Cameron stays with the team. Being what is clearly a complete and total rebuild we move Cam, we drop a few spots and we get all the picks we possibly can. Football in the Carolina's will not be pretty for years to come...Cleveland south if we are not completely and totally committed to the rebuild. IMO.
