Frank Reich is reportedly engaging former Denver Broncos Head Coach Vic Fangio for the new Carolina Panthers Defensive Coordinator position.

This would be a solid hire for this position and with his experience, he would be a great asset for Reich to have supporting him.

I’ll go out on a limb and predict Scottie Montgomery, his RB coach at Indy… Shelby native… and I would be completely happy with the selection, should it happen. I do think Frank will be his on play caller.

I am all full of thoughts, suggestions and down right not having an idea what I am talking about. I’m once again semi excited for panthers football and ready to see where we are in three years. Picking last in the draft? It was be amazing if Fangio came back but I am not feeling that. Frank and Vic have connections but I think Frank goes younger. Kris Richards. Zach Orr, Bob Babich. Richards would be my selection. And get this… my lottery ticket selection…Frank agrees with Luke to be LB coach. Now that would pump this organization and fan base to the ceiling …Frank and Luke are so much alike in work ethic, attitude, studying, etc and can both relate well to players which is vital these days. I will shut up now.

Fangio has been hired as the new Defensive Coordinator for the Dophins.  :(

That sucks, speaking of OC, word is he could be eying Eagles Passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo. Wouldn’t be a bad hire, sorry don’t have a link. Read it the other day.
