I heard this story on WBTV this morning, so I don't (yet) have a link, but it stated that the "electric blue" of the Carolina Panthers became a little "washed out" (lighter) in color back when Nike took over the Team Uniform Designs, but the Panthers have worked with Nike to bring about a corrected color version of what is called "Process Blue" to match closer to the Team's original Blue.
They also said that whomever the Panthers pick with the first pick on the 2023 NFL Draft will be the first Carolina Panther to wear that color.
