Panthers agree to terms with Nick Thurman

SPARTANBURG — The Panthers continued to add to the defensive line Monday.

The team has agreed to terms with veteran defensive end Nick Thurman.

Thurman, originally an undrafted rookie with the Texans from the University of Houston, spent three years with the Patriots. He has also spent time with the Falcons and Jaguars. He's played in eight career games.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder has the kind of length the Panthers are looking for in the transition to a 3-4 defense.

Earlier Monday, they signed defensive end LaBryan Ray and waived defensive tackle Bravvion Roy.

They still need to make two corresponding moves when the signing becomes official since they agreed to terms with linebacker Deion Jones earlier in the day. Two players will need to be released before Tuesday's practice.

Nick Thurman.... Hmmm.

Let's see. Drafted (oops..) UNdrafted in 2018 to Houston. In five (5) years with four teams he has managed to play in eight total games. (That is 1 1/2 games per year..!!!)  His stat line shows 7 tackles and 4 "assists" and let's see how many..... hmm, no ... must have been some...uh...  Hmmm, guess that's all folks.

YEP, he's definitely a "comer", that's for sure.  Nice LOW floor for this guy, so he won't have far to fall...... SMDH.. Sad Sick
