2 good teams coming. Can we get 1? I’m doubtful.

Anybody wanna argue the opposite?

Wouldn’t it be something for us to trade our next 3 first rounders for our original pick?

We could do it.

If we can 1 of these two, that’s a start. We’ve led in every game, let that carry over. O has to produce. St n D has been great until gassed. Please start playing o.

Panthers Prediction..???

MISERY.  Lots of misery.  Right now, the way we're playing, there are very few winnable games.

Of course, it could all turn around........  **sigh**

I decided to give this topic a little more thought...  Josh was/IS hoping for at least one win in the next two games before the bye.... Yup..ME TOO.!! (fingers crossed, praying hands, all that stuff...).

Sadly, I don't THINK that's gonna happen. You hear everyone talking about "strength of schedule" or "weakest teams" or "strongest teams" in terms of which teams we have to face on OUR schedule.  That early "strength of schedule" crap is just that -- Crap. No one knows how THIS season is going to shake out until it happens. So "strength of schedule" means nothing until at least half of the season is gone, and even then there are a LOT of potential surprises.

Here is why the Panthers are CURRENTLY facing a real uphill battle. Now remember... We are in Week 5 with this weeks games starting tonight (Thursday..). This "outlook" WILL definitely change as the season progresses further.  ALSO NOTE:  This is based on Bryce Young remaining at QB1.

We have played four games and lost four (0-4) so far. There are currently two 0-4 teams (Bears & Panthers). There are also two 4-0 teams (49ers & Eagles). THANKFULLY, we do not have to face the 49ers or the Eagles the rest of the season.  There are currently 22 teams who have at least 2 wins. That means there are ten teams who have 1 win or less. We DO NOT play any of the 1 win teams. All of the rest of our games are against teams with 2 or 3 wins....EXCEPT the Bears who we play in Week 10.

Our next two games (before the bye) are against the Lions and the Dolphins. Both teams are currently 3-1. Over the rest of the schedule I would say that there are a small handful of games we could possibly win. These next two are NOT in that handful.

Prediction at the bye:  0-6
Prediction for the season:  5-12 (if we're lucky).  **More likely 4-13 or 3-14

OF course --- Everything could turn around, OR.. the wheels could fall completely off (Is it possible to get any worse..?? --- Yes, probably..)

OTOH -- What do I know.??

So.... PREDICTION.??  OK, Yes, here is an interesting one.

I know there are folks around who place a LOT of emphasis or interest in S.O.S. = Strength Of Schedule. I'm my last post, up there ^^^,  I mentioned Strength of Schedule and basically declared that EARLY S.O.S predictions were worthless. This was based on the fact that no teams had any W-L history early, before the regular season began. Well, we are approx. 1/4 of the way through the season now, and teams are starting to show what fans can expect as the season progresses. So.... predictions are becoming easier and S.O.S. is slowly starting to make a LITTLE sense. Not a lot, yet, but some (maybe..).

So here are the latest S.O.S. for all 32 teams after 4 weeks of games are in the books.  Note the Panthers have a TOUGH schedule (not an easy one..). Much as I indicated above, with all of the Panthers remaining games against 2 or 3 win teams (except the Bears in week 10), the Panthers are facing a tough schedule ahead.
