For second and 5th round picks?

Heck yeah I’m ok with this.  Best scenario with a botched situation.

He will make $30 million a year with them.

Also worth noting Brian burns will make a comeback to BOA this season.

You meant given away… not much of a trade at all.

I'll take it rather than watching Burns trying not to get hurt for another year.  Actually Fitt blew it last year

Burns got the contract he wanted from the Giants:

Brian Burns' contract details  Burns' deal is a five-year, $150 million contract, with $87.5 million guaranteed, a league source said.

Not really. The trade value comes out to that of a late first rounder.

I don't understand why, instead of taking it easy, Burns did not try to show off for that next contract.  He wanted to get paid but did not work for it...????  (Unless maybe he was trying and used the avoiding injury thing as an excuse for his performance)

Not sure why the Giants thought Burns is worth it.  Data does not support it but he is their problem now.

Burns does not fit the type of player Morgan said he wanted.  So clean house and take your lumps now and set the team up for success the right way.

This doesn't really surprise me. But it's better than one third round pick that was quoted as being his trade value earlier last week.
