Newly announced within the last hour, the Panthers have agreed to terms with EDGE K'Lavon Chaisson. Chaisson was drafted at #20 Overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020. He played out his four-year rookie contract this past year. ( Apparently) -- the Jaguars did not see enough out of the #20 overall pick to pick up the 5th year option. Or maybe it was just too rich a contract.?? In any event, Chaisson hit the market and the Panthers have agreed to a one year deal for a maximum of $5M.
I'm going to do some more looking around about this guy. Something seems a little strange here....

No doubt this is the final piece that will make us Super Bowl bound this coming season. A++ on all the off-season activity. I am just amazed as to how far and quick we have worked out way back into prime time. Great job guys.

Oooh…. I ALMOST believed you meant that, you know, just for a moment there. We need a BS detector around here. Sarcasm… I meant SARCASM.!!!!
If I didn’t know better I would swear you were a Saints or Falcons fan in disguise.!!

In all fairness, Super Bowl or not, this was a good signing. Welcome to Carolina.
And I'm on the mindset that our front office IS trying to build something real. As the "definition of insanity" insinuates, you cannot keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results.
What we had is gone. And what we had wasn't working. Hopefully, what we are building WILL work. It couldn't be any worse.
I can’t believe that the talking heads are saying we over paid for our guards and didn’t get enough for Burns and that our offseason has been just mediocre….rhey are not seeing what we are seeing.

They're staying in character. Nothing the Panthers do is enough. We've gutted our Defense and bolstered our Offense. Not much more can be done. Still, it'll never be enough.....

Burns fate and value all belong to Fitt. Talking heads seem to really know very little about the Panthers other than what they read in the headlines. Trashing the Burns deal is low hanging fruit for them.
Plus bad teams will need to overpay for good players to get better.

Those are the same ones who were praising the "SUPER TEAM" we put together last season.
