We kept up with the 2x ina row champion for 4 quarters.  Color me immensely impressed.  Great stepping point.  We CAN WIN!  (Compete)  Every week.  Keep doing the work!

Props to the coaching staff...this team plays hard every week.  And there is progress.  As he did last year, Evero has his mash unit D  competing.  Need to beef up that side of the ball for next year.  Secondary and red zone offense were the diff in the game.  As well as penalties....got to clean that up.  Dammit Horn.  Bryce looked like an NFL qb.  He made some great plays.  Overalll, the game was a pleasant surprise,  Sooooo close.

Honestly, it’s crazy how much better our D looks with Wonnum. He’s no star caliber but he’s good enough to add enough pressure to mix things up

I wasn't upset about the loss, either. On the contrary, I was proud of the team for making a comeback when early on it looked like it was already done. Barring a couple of penalties and a couple of dropped balls, we could have won that game. And that was against the best in the NFL as far as I'm concerned.

If this game had happened in the first couple of weeks, the score would have been more like Panthers - 3, Chiefs - 47

As I have said many, many times in the past, I just want us to field a competitive football team. There are going to be winners and losers, but I don't want the Panthers ever to be doormats again.

I agree 100 % 007 .. we have looked competitive .. even played well.

After week 2 we were the worst team in the NFL ,, this going back over the last 5 plus years. Today,, other teams have over taken us. We aren't the worst franchise in the NFL today. Obviously if we can get better over the last 10 weeks,, we can also get worse, But that's not the direction we're moving. We haven't heard from Tepper recently. ( that's good lol ) .

We can win 4-5 more games. Defense has looked better. I'd like to see us win a come from behind game on the road.

We are currently a better NFL franchise that NY ( Jets and Giants ) Jags, Browns , maybe others. We are actually getting better.

Our rookies and Undrafted Free Agent, are panning out. Another good draft,, filling in holes like they did with the O line this past off season and we're GOOD.

Talking about Rookies, they are really starting to look good.  Sanders is my #1 of the bunch, followed closely by Legette and Coker.

But, wow, what about David Moore yesterday?  That dude was on fire!

For what it's worth:

Next Gen Stats Insight for Chiefs-Panthers (via NFL Pro): The Panthers' pass rush came alive against the Chiefs, generating five sacks against Patrick Mahomes, tied for the most in a game of Mahomes' career.

NFL Research: The Panthers were only the third team in the Andy Reid era (since 2013), including playoffs, to score on 75-plus percent of their drives against the Chiefs. The only team to win such a game was Tom Brady's Patriots in a Week 6, 2018, shootout won by New England, 43-40.

Young plays his best game of the season, but Panthers come up short. Bryce Young's performance was rivaled only by his game against Green Bay late last season for tops in his career. In a tumultuous season that saw him benched after Week 2, Young came off the bye week looking as confident as he ever has in a Panthers uniform. The former Heisman Trophy winner splashed big plays, made pinpoint passes, dropped loopers into the bucket and zipped darts over the middle.

He finally played like he was back at Alabama: loose and confident. Young completed 21 of 35 passes for 263 yards and a TD while taking two sacks against a good Chiefs defense. The quarterback rarely looked flustered, knowing where he wanted to go with the ball. He got out of the pocket when necessary and avoided the big negatives.

That Young played so well despite not getting much help from the ground game speaks to his growth potential. Had Carolina converted its red-zone drives in the first half (0 of 3), it would have stolen this game from the Super Bowl champs. Despite being down, 20-9, at the break, Young led two fourth-quarter scoring drives to tie the game. It still came in a loss, but Carolina needed to see this type of performance from Young. Now, the question is whether he can build on the performance or whether it was a flash in the pan.

Young played great.  Chubba got his.  D needs help, but held up.  Looking forward I’m hopeful.  Fix Nickle, te coverage please.  Dane may not be it.  We got 8(!) cbs.  5 s’s. Surely 1 can play nickel. Who’s up next? Somebody needs to claim the spot! Crucial going forward. Anybody stepping up would help. Chau, fairly, Robinson? Ne one?

Just mho

If Bartholemew or Johnson can man the nickel good.  We just need help in the slot…n jc not to hold so much(1 game).
