WEEK 15 -- PANTHERS VS. COWBOYS

OMG.....

For the first time this year -- The Panthers open the week against the Cowboys, and they're NOT underdogs.!!  They're actually favored to win this game.  Great Balls O' Fire -- The Panthers are 1 1/2 pt favorites this week. !!!

Of course, there is one little teensie tiny caveat there. The Panthers are at home this week. Home field advantage (as we've discussed on several occasions) gives a 3 point advantage to the "home' team. THAT means:  On a neutral field, the Panthers would actually be 1 1/2 point dogs.....

Still, it's worth noting that the Panthers have never been favored for any reason this year, in any game against any team. And it's also worth mentioning that the Panthers have NOT done particularly well against Dallas all-time. As a matter of fact, the Panthers record against the Cowgirlz all-time is 5-11 (I think..?) I'll check...

So... The Cowboys are 5-8 this year while the Panthers are 3-10. . The Panthers ARE  5-11 against the Cowboys all-time. 3-6 at B of A and 2-5 at Dallas.  So.... Why are we favored against the Girlz.??  Hmm.... Don't know.  Maybe those jokers out in Vegas know something. Maybe they've intercepted the information pipeline...???

Oh well.  Let's enjoy it.!! It might last only a day or two.

With the new metrics... We don't really have a home field advantage... Actually , like Pittsburgh , Dallas will have the home field advantage on the road.. and that actually the Panthers were 4 1/2 pt favorites , but lost some points due to not having the home field advantage..

The odds on Sunday's game have changed...
According to USA-Today the Panthers are now favored by 2 1/2 pts. (quoting BetMGM - NFL odds)

The 'WAGS over at USA-Today have it like this:

Lorenzo Reyes:  Panthers 25-19
Tyler Dragon:  Panthers 21-20
Richard Morin:  Panthers 26-24
Jordan Mendoza:  Panthers 23-20

UPDATE....

The current sports lines (odds) have slightly changed -- effective Sunday morning the Panthers are favored to win.  This is notable because it's the first time the Panthers have actually been expected to win (according to those who claim to know about those things...). The first time in over a year -- maybe longer..!!  (Actually, according to the native 'intelligence..?' over at CBS Sports the last time the Panthers were "favored" was back in 2022..!!!!)

The current "line" has the Panthers favored by about three (3) points, depending on who you prefer as your betting odds-maker.
