Just had an idea.... This might be a good place to post the interesting stuff from the Combine as it affects the Panthers. I don't have NFL Network available , but some of you guys probably do. Whatever you see, hear, etc., just post it here so the rest of us POOR suckers can benefit from your largesse.!!!
I'll stay up with the Panthers various supporting (reporting..) sites, but I know I'll miss a lot from NFL Network...... If it seems interesting....POST IT HERE.!! (PLEASE..!!!)
There are a lot of videos from the combine posted during the combine on Youtube. I'd check there frequently if you can't get access to the NFL Network. As a matter of fact, that's pretty much what I do at work when the combine is happening.
Some interesting comments here from Scott Fitterer from the Combine. Discussing QBs, O-Line, Free Agents, and Panther ideology. I think there's a lot of smoke here. Not sure how "REAL" it is.
SCOTT FITTERER---Combine Press Conference
Here is a little context on Fitterer's press conference....As reported by Darin Gantt.

Good stuff. At least it sounds credible. I like Fitterer as far as providing information more than Matt Rhule. Matt Rhule always sounds like he's blowing sunshine.

EXACTLY... Fitterer learned a lot in Seattle. I really think he will make a terrific GM going forward. NOW, if only we could get Tepper to let him do the job.....and keep the coach (whomever it might be..) working ON THE FIELD and away from the GM job.!!!
I have said this here before----but I'll say it again. I LIKE Ikem Ekwonu. Carolina native and one of the most dominating Tackles I've ever seen. Yes, I know. Most boards have Evan Neal ranked above him. AND most prognosticators seem to think the Panthers will choose Charles Cross instead. But I just don't see it. Ekwonu is big, strong, and smart. He is a day one starter on OUR team if we should be lucky enough to draft him. UNFORTUNATELY, I don't think he will be available. We will probably trade down.....
Here is some information: IKEM EKWONU at the Combine (Panthers Site..)
This is a high class individual.!!

Peter Schrager has an interesting take on 2022 Draft Prospects. No QBs in the Top-10 (which is not really a surprise..), but interesting lineup of players. Mostly defense. Take a look.
Here is Schrager's Top-10:
WELL---- THAT SUCKS.!! Have to watch it on YouTube. Oh well. It's still worth watching.!!

There's a little news from the Combine about Kenny Pickett. It's hard to tell just how serious the Panthers are about looking at QBs in the Draft. It could all be a smokescreen...... or it might have some substance to it.
¿Quien sabe?
Anyway, here is the text from the news about Pickett: KENNY PICKETT--From the Combine

Only if we trade back to the 20’s.
At 6 it should b bpa. If our guy is not there, (fav lt) get more picks. Bpa later. Need plenty of help. Got 5 Picks? Need more.

It's probably smoke and mirrors and/or bait and switch. The Panthers have a very good first round selection at #6, but don't have another pick until the 4th round. That makes the number one pick VERY valuable.
If the Panthers act like they really, really WANT to pick there and act like they aren't interested in trading down, it would demand a higher price for a trade, for example, the other team's first and third round pick this draft, along with maybe a 5th round pick next year.
They could arguably pick up a decent quarterback later in the first round without having to pay top dollar for it, plus could pick up another pick (or two?) in this year's draft.
