As the 2022 NFL Draft gets closer and the clarity surrounding the process gets murkier, there is more and more confusion about what exactly the Panthers are going to do on day ONE, 2022. One thing is clear. What follows (after the draft..) is a lot easier to predict. Like scheduling joint practices with a pre-season opponent. It's nothing new --- really. The Panthers have done this several times previously. Most recently in 2019, and again in 2021 (skipping 2020 was mandated because of COVID..).

In any event, the Panthers are still trying to 'firm up' this years practice schedule. It appears to be against the Patriots on the days preceding the pre-season game sometime in August..... That's pretty vague, I know. The actual pre-season schedule has not been released yet, but we'll know soon enough.......... I think.??

This particular 'situation' has some built-in interest for the Panthers and for Panthers fans. It was a game last year with the Patriots (Week Nine..) in which a certain Pats player (Mac?...Mac?...MAC..something.??) grabbed a certain Panthers DE by the foot, yanked and twisted. Said action causing a guaranteed reaction by Brian Burns who thereafter had to have therapy on his ankle. Burns reaction also included a 'small', 'slight', utterance warning Jones to stay alert, keep his eyes peeled and hearing tuned-in for the sound of fast-moving footsteps.........

Of course, we know Spiderman would never do anything like that. Or would he...???
