Steve Smith Sr. makes it this year....

Not sure if Jake makes it at all...just not sure.

I really liked Moose....but I don't think he makes it.

Wesley Walls...hmmm, not sure. Maybe toward the end of eligibility.

John Kasay....probably not.

Charles Tillman should make it. Probably not this year though.

I found a "thing' this morning. Was just browsing around my 'beloved' Panthers when I discovered a list of Panthers "greats" nominated (supposedly..) for inclusion in the HOF for 2023. So okay... That's what this thread is all about, right.?? Well yeah, but.... Here's the thing. This list doesn't match up with that one ^^^^ up there.  This list comes from a Panthers 'named' site...Panthers Wire. Now these guys have been pretty solid in their support and pretty straight-up in what they print (promote, say, whatever..). So it surprised me a little when I discovered the discrepancies.

Here is a list of 2023 "nominees" as published by Panthers Wire. And NO... They are NOT the same as the list mentioned in the leading post, #1, in this thread.

Jake Delhomme
Jordan Gross
Steve Smith Sr
Muhsin Muhammad
John Kasay 

So this list added Jordan Gross but left off Wesley Walls and Charles Tillman.

So, at first I was confused because I looked at the Panthers site and found something almost identical, but it was the Panthers Hall of Honor from last year. But when I went to the NFL.com article, it was there. Sorry I missed Jordan Gross. Will edit the main post.

Ahh....So that's what happened. I NEVER would've guessed that YOU missed a Panther alumnus.!!  Strange that Panthers Wire missed those other two also.  You know, I think there may be another one in that NFL list too. I think I'll go back and look again. Of course, there could be more that I don't recognize too. I don't pretend to keep track of Panthers' rosters back all those years.  Although, I did go to the very first HOME game ever played in BoA.!!

Also on the list is former Panthers DE, Jared Allen.  I know Jared wasn't with the Panthers too long, but his retirement announcement was one for the ages.!!  I think Jared on his horse riding off "into the sunset" qualifies him for ANY list of Panthers.

The funny thing is that I heard this on the tv then went and tried to find information on it.  The reason I said "Six former Panthers" was because that's what they said on the news.  We have to be better than the evening news, so thanks for the help lol
