I think if Bryce does not make significant improvements this year even Tepper will lose his patience.
I honestly believe that, unlike Andy Dalton, Kenny Pickett could give Bryce Young some really tough competition for the starting job. I highly doubt that it would happen, but I do believe that if Bryce has to be benched based on performance issues, it will be tough for him to win the starting job back from Kenny.

Everything about Pickett depends heavily on surrounding talent and protection schemes - IMHO. He throws a lot of interceptions (historically/apparently). His first two years with Pittsburg weren't terrible and later with the Eagles he played in the Super Bowl when the Eagles beat the Chiefs. He has had several injuries during his first four years that have kept him out of the lineup and reduced his playing time...
I think with the right team, and scheme, and support, and coaching -- Pickett could become a starting QB again.

Pickett throws a low velocity ball, he doesn’t have ZIP on his passes. He consistently throws behind and away from receivers. He needs a lot of help down field to get the completions.
It would be nice to see a QB who can throw with ZIP and in tight windows, but if they were that common, everyone would have them.
Juat wait for Haynes King in a couple years.
Pickett will never get a chance with the guaranteed contact just given to Bryce. Bryce will have to have like 4 consecutive weeks of bad performances for Pickett to see a ball other than in practice. So maybe by week six or seven?
