Mom was at the top of the tree calling for him about an hour ago.  Really hope he/she comes back! It took about 30 secs after the wow moment for me to get sad.

GREAT news..!!  So glad he/she made it back. Now it's just a race to see how long they stay around. Flying around the local area, learning the area, learning to feed themselves, etc.  Those two look like they tolerate each other decently. I've read where sometimes brothers/sisters squabble a lot.

He/she hanging out with it's sib all day...looks like intends to get the free supper.  Smart bird. Both kiddos perched on a branch side by side as if best buds.

Well, both eaglets are flying around and making "passes" around the nest. Both handling T.O.s and landings fine. Almost like they are starting to enjoy 'buzzing" each other and mom and dad too. Quite a variation in food. More fur (mammals) as well as fish. Haven't seen either one 'catch' a meal themselves yet... at least they haven't brought anything back to the nest that I've seen. They argue and squabble when Jolene or Boone bring food back..... but then one or the other "claims" the meal and the other has to wait for leftovers or the next meal.

Looks like all is well at J.C. ...  Headbang

It has been a lot of fun watching this pair and a real treat that they are both hanging around the nest.  Love seeing them fly and then practice their landings.  Like you Hobs...waiting to see them bring something back to the nest.  Not sure if that happens...they would have to share.  It does seems like showing off would be worth it a time or 2.....lol.

YES.!!  I can see it now.....  #23 comes zooming home to the nest hollering "Mom, Dad, look what I did.!!", dropping a small fish into the nest before settling in to eat. #24 grabs it, swallows it down, 'BURPS' loudly, and announces "Thanks Bro, that was tasty.!". And then the squabble began...

Well....it's that time again.  We should have eggs any day/minute now.

Was afraid I was not going to get to watch my favorite eagles' nest this year.  Helene took down the tree that has been home to the nest for years.  Luckily, the eagle pair...Boone and Jolene, found a tree close by they liked  and have built their new nest well in camera view.  They are out and about this morning so have been able to see a great view of the nest.  The pair spent some time yesterday working on the "bowl"  and it looks like they have done a very good job.

LOL

When Jolene decided to move her springtime residence, she just made a unilateral decision... Good for her.!!  Glad to have them back. Seems like it's too 'early' - with all of this bitter cold weather. Maybe not, but it has to be tough on them as well. Wouldn't the eggs freeze in these temperatures.??  I know they stay close to the nest, but it wouldn't take long with overnight lows in the low teens or single digits. Seems like they'd wait (or something..??) for warmer weather.

Fingers crossed.!!

They take turns sitting on the nest...constantly.  I agree about the concerns with the cold temps....but like babies eggs come when they come based on when they mated.  The official nest watchers seems to think it could be any day.  Putting the final touched on the nest....like preparing that bowl, also a sign.
