Maybe It’s just me. I saw edge, cb, 3/4 d lineman as our greatest needs… we only picking (right now) to what 145… I thought with what we had and what we acquired the WR room was rather taken care of.

LB to a certain degree.

Or maybe they had him as Best Available, lol.  I am sure the comments will be they had a first round grade on him.

We are pretty close to mirrors....

I had EDGE, CB, O-Line backup, and LB

I thought with picking up Adam Thielen and DJ Chark our WR room was pretty much set.  Yes, we lost one (Moore), but we gained two. Never hurts to have another one I guess, but.....

I really liked

  • Jalin Hyatt & another guy (?? name.??) -- Joey Porter

Drew Sanders… surprised he is still in the board. But what do I know evidently.

Mingo is not a bad pick, just at least one if not two rounds early. Easy to have traded down 20 spots (or even more), still get him and get some depth/potential.

DJ Johnson???!? Dude has like a 4-5 round grade??

Why trade for a guy who will have been there when we picked?

This draft has been a total and complete flop. I thought yesterday was bad… SF is proving over and over again he is no nfl gm. Period

Next will be changing the name to the Carolina Browns for about 7-10 of worthlessness.

We will have to agree to disagree.  I don’t think it’s that drastic, but definitely head scratching

I am not certain, TBH. I find the whole draft so far to be perplexing. But I agree with BCF in that it's not a complete bust.  I understand the #1 pick. Not saying I really LIKE it, but I understand it. Young is SMART, and with good coaching and a pot of good luck he may "beat the odds." Fingers crossed.

The #39 pick confuses me. Our WR room was pretty solid. I know we lost Moore, but we gained Adam Thielen who is a really good receiver. Yes, I know he's 'older', but still has plenty left in the tank (IMHO). Then we added DJ Chark who could be a real "STAR." Yes, I know he had surgery but is expected to fully recover early enough to take part in some of OTAs. Then onward to camp and the season. THEN... we added Hayden Hurst, a TE who has the skills to fully integrate into the passing game.  So..... WHY would we draft a WR at #39.??  When we need a CB, we need an EDGE guy, we could use some LB help, and we could use some O-Line help.  I am NOT saying the pick of Jonathon Mingo was a terrible choice....... Just -- WHY.?? Right then...at that point.??

The #93 pick after trading up to 80 (..??). An EDGE guy is not bad tactics. However it should have been done at #39 instead of #80. Then the later pick could have been a DB (or a WR if you're locked into that..).OR a simple BPA pick from whatever is left.  Which is pretty much what we're left with in the 4th and 5th rounds.

So, it's not terrible, just confusing.  Of course, I'm frequently confused..... so there's that.  Huh

I see ht, wt, speed as the premium with 3rd rd n beyond. Best athelete available. Mungo too. Smith n Barno last year. Even Barnes. Potential. Just a trend I see. MHO.

Could work out. Could not. I’ll give it a chance. He’s only 1-1/2 drafts in.

Also got udfa. Did well in fa, just gotta fill holes.

AGREED.... I have absolutely no issues with Scott Fitterer (right now..).  I am not enthralled with the timing of the last two picks, but I don't hate the players.

More to come.
