Maybe just maybe in his criticism of play calling, it may be that he is just having to work within the means he has. Not trying to defend him but he is a proven commodity, even proven can go wrong but what if it is personnel and their limitations? Of course it could also be that he has just forgotten everything he has experienced over the years and he is relearning the game and skill of football.

AGREED...

However, the metric you mentioned about Reich winning "more games than he has lost" strikes me as "damning with faint praise". The reality here in Panther land is..... The Panthers are still very much a 'young' team franchise. This is the 29th iteration in the "YOOP" (Year Of Our Panthers..).  During our historical run of 'success' the Panthers have had John Fox, Dom Capers, and Ron Rivera as Head Coaches, not counting other less successful HCs, such as George Siefert, Perry Fewell, Matt Rhule and Steve Wilks.

Of the three most prolific HCs mentioned, both John Fox and Ron Rivera won more games than they lost. And Dom Capers was pretty close. Ron Rivera was the MOST successful HC here with a record of 76-63-1.  But even being a successful HC did not portend well for these guys, as all three of them are no longer HCs here.

So, I think it's fair to say, that having a winning record does not necessarily mean that the HC has "The Right Stuff".  Although, it is certainly nice to have a winning record.!!!

For those who care:  In 28 complete seasons of play, the Panthers have had a total of seven (7) winning seasons. There were also three (3) "break even" seasons (8-8).  It breaks out like this:

Perry Fewell 2019; 0-4; -- Interim - took over when Rivera was fired in 2019
Matt Rhule 2020-2022; 11-27; NO winning seasons -- left after 5 games in 2022.
Steve Wilks 2022; 6-6; -- Interim - took over when Rhule was fired in 2022
FRANK REICH  =  Current HC.

***Since Ron Rivera left in 2019 -- The Panthers combined record is 17-43 as of today, 6 weeks into 2023....
