ESPN also severed ties with former NFL MVP Cam Newton, longtime SportsCenter stalwart David Lloyd, injury expert Stephania Bell, former All-Pro linebacker and talk show host Bart Scott, as well as NFL Network analyst Charles Davis.

How did he have a job.....really???
I'm not certain to whom you're referring, but if it's Cam, then I agree with the sentiment. I have always sort of appreciated Tom Pelissero, although my general regard for "talking heads" has been less than sterling. Pelissero has seemed (to me..) to be less abrasive and more "in control" than most of the loud, click-baiting personalities. He will land on his feet (probably..).
Cam Newton is a perfect example of the latter type I mentioned. He's loud, obnoxious, brash, and completely self-absorbed. As a QB (for a few years), he was good for the Panthers -- until he decided that he was better than everyone around him. Then he became overbearing, and rightfully was left to slowly moulder along spewing BS and trying desperately to become pertinent in a serious business -- where he had no right to be. He will always be remembered as a Panthers QB, BUT his current trash-talking crap leaves me cold and completely NOT interested. When I see him I just "change the channel" and move on. He has nothing pertinent to add to any conversation. --- 'How' or 'Why' he has a job anywhere in the media, is beyond me.![]()
Yes...I meant Cam and you summarized him well. I will add to that...he has no respect for women. That is a very mild version of what I could say about that!
And I agree about Pelissero. Surprised they let him go.
