Doug Gottlieb lays it out pretty simple, and makes it hard to argue with.

Ron Rivera could have taken him to the Redskins.  Instead, he chose Cam's backup, Kyle Allen.

Buffalo and McDermott could have taken him, but declined.

The Panthers could have kept him, but chose not to.

If all of the former coaching and administrative staff you have worked with chooses to move on from you, then there's a problem and it isn't them.

And I know some would argue that Kyle Allen cost less than Cam, but Cam was without a bargaining chip.  He had been cut free and clear.  And Rivera even chose to give up a 5th Round Draft Pick for Kyle Allen, which the Panthers parleyed into a late 2nd Round Pick.   They didn't make Cam ANY type of offer.

The other day I was watching the full 2015 NFC Championship Game between the Panthers and Cardinals, and I quickly saw what I loved about Cam Newton.  He was exciting, confident, and fun to watch.... until "it" happened, then I abruptly remembered what I hated about him...lol.  His bad throws, interceptions, and then pouting and bad attitude on the sidelines.  And I could only imagine what must have gone on behind closed doors.

And people could say, "He's gone, just drop it", but I haven't had closure yet lol Tongue

Closure..??  Yeah, that's a strange thing sometimes.!!  Thumbsup

I think, on occasion, we just need to 'forgive and forget' and move on.
