It is safe to say that the Panthers have solved their dilemma surrounding a return man. No longer any need to try different approaches and different guys back there to carry the rock. The Panthers have been looking for a return man for YEARS. Every time it comes up for discussion, the response has been something like "we'll do that by committee" or "we'll try a bunch of guys out" ----- one of those 'figure it out' type approaches. For the 2022 Panthers those words no longer apply.
Enter Kick Return Man 'Extraordinaire' --- Andre Roberts. Roberts is a 34 Y.O. Wide Receiver out of "The Citadel" with 13 years of NFL experience. So.... maybe he doesn't play every down. Maybe he's not the #1 WR. BUT..... THIS dude can fly.!! And, he absolutely KNOWS what to do with the ball when its in his hands. We NEED to put this guy on the field and let him catch a few passes as well as handle the return duties.
If finding a good return man used to be a problem --- Well then, PROBLEM SOLVED.!!
