As a final indicator of how serious this rebuild may be.....

Its now reported that the Panthers are 'shopping' Turner around. Don't know what their "ask" will be,  BUT...???

Reported here on 'Panther's Wire'.....

Just posted the trade rumor. Maybe more than a rumor considering it came from the Panthers website.!!

See other thread.!!

So how much Cap space does this clear up? There's more to this than just getting a LT. I'll admit to not even remembering the last time I thought about how much Cap space we had. Maybe going after someone else who is going to cost money? Okay, I had to add to the rumor (non rumor)/speculation

In the deal, the Panthers absorb $13 million in base salary for Okung and $9.6 million in dead money, per Over The Cap, while the Chargers take on the two remaining years of Turner's contract -- with $8.5 million and $11 million in base salary, respectively.

5-6 year rebuild... maybe 7-8 with the experts they have now
