I wanna do well tomorrow, knock the Bucs outta the playoffs, then see what happens. I have no predictions at this point. We just gotta get better on o! All I’ll profess.

That’s a very serious problem

Don’t know Smith BCF.

That being said, what yall think about Frank Smith, Dolphins OC?  He’s promising, and I love the heart he showed when asked about interest in the job.

I was all in for an offensive HC.  My first choice was CJ.  Being the good Panther fan I am,  I drank the Kool aid and thought Bryce would be the guy.

It seems a good HC is a good HC...does not matter what side of the ball he comes from.

YES... I remember you advocating for DeMeco Ryans. At the time, he was largely unproven and I knew little enough about him. His performance this year, along with CJ Stroud, has elevated the Texans to middle-of-the-road status. Which is a GOOD place to be for a first year HC and a rookie QB.!!  I do pull for Bryce Young because we are SO in debt for him and he has the coach's ear. Still, I have serious doubts about his future and any success in the NFL. The 'numbers', the statistics, the analytics..... all indicate a very slim potential with a low ceiling. The more I think about it, the more I resent the pick.

Frank Smith = Interesting study. Has about 13-14 yrs of NFL experience with several teams. All of his time has been as an OFFENSIVE coach. Mostly smaller roles (Assistant Coach; Tight Ends Coach..??) and one stint as Run Game Coach. My honest opinion is... He has too little experience to even be considered as a HC candidate. Has a couple of years experience as OC now...  I'd much rather look at other options.  Just MHO...

I’m thinking there will be more openings coming as others have mentioned.

We are not a desired destination. Defense can play but there’s not much to look at on offense. Then I say , we’ve seen other coaches go into dire situations and do well.
But we don’t currently have draft picks to help an incoming coach. That can change.
So we need a new GM , a new coach, and our illustrious owner to get it right this time and leave them to their job . I’m fine with Tepper throwing money at our problems,, attempting to hire the best. I don’t know what y’all thought but I loved Tepper paying so much for coaches and “consultants “ . It didn’t work this year but doesn’t mean it won’t help trying to hire our next coach who might rather be in Washington due to draft picks etc .

Fingers crossed we move forward, not backwards.
I’m predicting we go 12-5 next season ?. Eternal Optimism lol

Problem this year is that Tepper was too involved in picking the people he threw money at.  He needs to step back and let football people run the team.

12-5....you are nuts my friend...love it...lol.

As much as we all want Tepper not involved.. I think he will be involved.  There’s nothing that can be done about that.
But I’m hoping his choices will be like a broken clock,, it’s right twice a day,, so I’m hoping he eventually gets the right GM and Coach..
Come on Ladypanther,  you know I’m right picking 12-5 ??.
I think I picked 9-7 or 10-7 this year.. so I’m
Sure we’ll improve by 2 games lol

Ouch:

What will Carolina do? That one could be most interesting of all, given owner Tepper’s experience with Ron Rivera, Perry Fewell, Matt Rhule, Steve Wilks, Frank Reich and Chris Tabor in his six seasons of ownership. Tepper, who made his billions in hedge funds, trades coaches like cryptocurrency.

“We should probably predict who his next interim head coach is going to be,” a veteran exec joked.

Hope Tepper sees that....lol

They show four HC openings with potentially one additional one in Washington with no projection. I will contend that there will be at least seven total HC hirings this year..... and maybe more.  The average tenure for a HC in the NFL is slipping downward each year. Teams are getting "restless" earlier and are looking for progress quicker. The average "turnover" rate among HCs in the NFL is about 25% per year.  That equates to about eight per year. (The actual 'computed' average is about seven..).

Anyway, I think we'll see several more than the article mentions. With the dissatisfaction being expressed across the league, I wouldn't be surprised to see eight or nine......

OTOH... I am frequently wrong about these things. So, there's that...

Well....6 so far.  I think Bellichick survives, gives up GM duties and brings back Josh McD.
