NFL.COM:   Panthers Benching Bryce Young After 2nd Year Horrendous Start...

"The Panthers are benching quarterback Bryce Young and starting veteran Andy Dalton beginning this coming Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported on Monday, per sources informed of the situation.

After an ugly 0-2 start to the season, Canales watched the tape and decided a change was needed, Pelissero added.

Canales told reporters later Monday that the decision to bench Young was his, stressing that he made the move to Dalton because "Andy gives us our best chance to win this week."

Not a lot of information in the article, but it is plain that a change is needed.....

HC Dave Canales talks about the QB 1 position. Starting QB for the coming week...

At least we have a 50/50 chance of victory. But if honest, my gut also tells me that Canales is not ready to be a head coach in the NFL either.

By the way, this is a complete rebuild… it’s will take 3 to 4 years IF Dan makes the right moves , for us to be competitive week in and week out and having more dumb decisions will take it even longer. This team is like the 2008 to 2017 Cleveland Browns.

While this is not surprising, the actual fact that they pulled the trigger is a surprise.

Our truly first sign Canales is coaching for the team , not the owner .

I have no idea what the future of this current team , but benching Bryce is the first step in things that need to happen.
I’m still disappointed with the defense, but we lost a lot of talent and it currently hasn’t been replaced.
I believe we have the correct coach and defensive coordinator.. If the offense starts to progress, score, long drives. The defense might get better by just not having to be on the field as much.. but it may be the lack of talent on defense too.

Lets hope Andy Dalton can works some old magic.

I won’t say this is the end of the story for Bryce, but I think it might be the end in Carolina. He’s lost the locker room.
